Helping your business maintain high standards
Diverting hygiene waste away from landfill
The industry leading phs LifeCycle Strategy was launched in 2017. The aim of the strategy is to ensure up to 95% of hygiene waste, collected by phs from our customers, is diverted away from landfill. We have partnered with Panda to turn our customers hygiene waste into an alternative energy source to power cement kilns.
Driving positive change with sustainability initiatives
At phs, we are committed to doing the right thing for our employees, our customers, their customers, and all of our communities.
We have committed to, and are on track, to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2040. To achieve this, we have signed up to science-based targets with the aim of reducing our Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions, while also looking at innovative ways to decarbonise our estate.
We have an in-house product development team, this allows us to create products that meet the needs of our customers, while developing solutions that are kind to the environment. We also have a team of internal experts who focus on refurbishing and recycling our products.
As part of our mission to pursue sustainable approaches to waste disposal, phs now produces 40% less waste as an organisation. We do this by intelligently managing paper, cardboard, plastic, and metal waste, and diverting waste from landfill wherever possible.
